The Christian McCaffrey Foundation Launches ‘Run It Forward’ Campaign to Expand ‘The Logan Project’ Initiative
Campaign to bring gaming consoles to children’s hospitals in new cities while expanding support in current communities
The Christian McCaffrey Foundation officially announced the launch of the ‘Run It Forward’ campaign today to benefit and expand the Foundation’s ‘The Logan Project’ initiative throughout the remainder of the year’s NFL season.
The campaign will be an opportunity for donors to partner with McCaffrey to bring consoles to at least four new cities, as well as add additional consoles to hospitals in the cities where the 49ers will play away games, kicking off with the Sunday, Oct. 12 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to add additional consoles to the Johns Hopkins St. Petersburg Hospital.
“This year would have been Logan Hale’s senior year of high school, and it’s important to us that his legacy continues to grow,” stated Christian McCaffrey. “By launching the ‘Run It Forward’ campaign, we’re not only expanding ‘The Logan Project’ into at least four new cities this year and getting closer to our goal of being in every city with an NFL team by 2026, but also continuing to add more gaming consoles to the hospitals of the cities I will be playing away games at this year with the 49ers. It’s about honoring Logan’s spirit and dream, as well as making sure more kids feel his impact. I’m grateful that we can keep spreading his message and his dream across the country.”
Supporters can make a direct impact by donating $2,000 to partner with McCaffrey, who will match each donation to fully fund a gaming console for a children’s hospital. For those who wish to give at any level, all donations are welcome, and Christian will generously match gifts up to $10,000 per city and hospital. Every $2,000 raised unlocks a full console, with a goal of at least three consoles in every new city.
During the remaining 49ers away games this season, supporters may donate to support the addition of extra consoles in city hospitals, with the Foundation matching up to $10,000 raised. A complete list of city options that may be supported is below.

Launched in July of 2022, ‘The Logan Project” honors Logan Hale, a Christian McCaffrey fan who lost his battle with childhood cancer in late 2021. While Logan was in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment, he discovered that gaming allowed him to stay connected to his friends. It was his dream to create his own foundation to provide these consoles to other children undergoing long-term treatment, a goal that The Christian McCaffrey Foundation is committed to bringing to life.
Since its launch, through the support of donors, partners and NFL players across the country, ‘The Logan Project’ has provided 77 gaming consoles to 17 different U.S. children’s hospitals to date. For additional information regarding ‘The Logan Project’, click here.
